Z1R CHAPS SIZING GUIDE

Motorcycle Chaps – Sizing Guide
Measurement Area How to Measure Fit Tip
Waist Measure where you normally wear your belt while wearing your riding jeans or pants. Most riders choose the same size as their jeans. If between sizes, size up for comfort. Rear lacing or buckle adjustments provide flexibility.
Thigh Measure around the fullest part of your thigh while wearing your riding pants. Should fit snug but not tight. You should be able to bend your knees and sit comfortably without pulling or pinching.
Inseam / Length Measure from crotch to ankle while wearing boots. Chaps are typically shipped long and are designed to be trimmed to fit. When seated on the bike, they should reach the top of your boots without dragging.
Overall Fit Try them on over your normal riding pants and sit on your motorcycle if possible. Zippers should close smoothly without strain. Waist should feel secure but not restrictive. Minimal bunching behind the knees when seated.
Break-In Note: Leather chaps may feel slightly stiff at first but will soften and conform to your body after a few rides.

Choosing the Correct Helmet Size

Helmet fit is critical to helmet protective performance. The correct helmet size can only be checked and confirmed by physically fitting the helmet to the user. Always try the helmet on in a store, before purchasing it, to be sure you are purchasing the correct sized helmet for you.

Head Measurement Instructions

Wrap a flexible tape measure around your head approximately one inch above the eyebrows and ears. Use this measurement (in either inches or centimeters) to find your helmet size in the chart to the right.

Helmet Sizing Information

To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described. Remember that the helmet size you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points. The cheek pads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side. Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheek pads can be purchased to obtain the best fit.
