Product Details

The Alpinestars S-M7 Cast Helmet is engineered for off-road racing, combining a lightweight composite construction with advanced impact management, extensive ventilation, and a highly adjustable rider fit.

The multi-layer shell uses a pre-preg composite construction blending fiberglass, carbon, and Aramid fiber. This combination is designed to balance impact protection, energy absorption, stability, durability, and low overall weight. The smooth, aerodynamic shell profile also minimizes external features that could act as load points during an impact.

Inside, a multi-density EPS liner provides targeted impact absorption throughout the helmet. Alpinestars also incorporates specific rotational impact protection through the shape and coating of the EPS liner working together with a specially developed comfort-liner surface. According to Alpinestars, the S-M7 exceeds the ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%.

PLASMA technology is strategically integrated into the lower side pads of the helmet to provide additional energy absorption around the collarbone area. The profiled chin bar is also engineered to provide impact protection while maintaining the helmet's streamlined shape.

Alpinestars' patented Visor Release System allows the visor to automatically detach when subjected to an impact greater than 15 Joules, regardless of impact direction. This helps reduce the possibility of the visor transferring unwanted rotational forces to the helmet and rider during a crash.

The patented A-Head Fitment System allows the rider to adjust both the angle and height at which the helmet sits on the head. Three different shell sizes cover six helmet sizes from XS through 2XL, helping provide a more proportional fit while reducing unnecessary weight and bulk.

Ventilation is provided by 20 individual intake and exhaust ports, including 13 intake ports and seven exhaust ports. The removable 3D comfort liner features an antimicrobial treatment, while interchangeable genuine Alpinestars cheek pads allow further adjustment of the internal fit.

Additional race-focused details include integrated hydration-system channels, compatibility with an Eject helmet removal system, and built-in ear recesses for communication systems.

The S-M7 Cast is available in DOT and ECE 22.06 homologated versions, combining lightweight construction, advanced impact-management technology, and extensive ventilation for serious motocross and off-road riding.

Sizing Info

Measure around the widest part of your head, approximately one inch above the eyebrows and around the largest portion at the back of the head, then compare your measurement with the Alpinestars helmet size chart.

The S-M7 should fit snugly and evenly around the entire head without creating painful pressure points. The cheek pads should make firm contact with your cheeks, and the helmet should move with your head rather than sliding or rotating independently.

Alpinestars' A-Head Fitment System allows the angle and height of the helmet on the head to be adjusted for a more personalized fit. Genuine Alpinestars replacement cheek pads are also available in different thicknesses and can be used to further fine-tune the fit.
